In addition to an adult book collection the Library provides children’s and teen book collections that include picture books, fiction, and nonfiction.

Video and Film: The Library's collection consists of over 15,000 DVDs and Blu-ray discs. This collection includes recent and classic feature films, foreign language films, children's movies, television programs, and a variety of instructional programs on topics like computers, language, home improvement, and travel. We also host a large collection of biographical DVDs, and an extensive selection of documentaries. DVDs with closed-captioning and subtitles are regularly added to the collection.
Audiobooks: The Library holds a collection of over 8,300 abridged and unabridged audiobooks on compact disc which may be checked out for three weeks, and renewed twice for another three weeks each time, if no other patrons have requested them. In addition to the classics of world literature and the best in modern American and British novels and short stories, the Library collects the latest bestsellers in fiction and nonfiction as they become available as audiobooks. You will also find a broad selection of instructional materials. Learn a language, improve your English, sharpen your sales skills, or become a better manager. Music: The Library maintains a broad selection of music for your entertainment. Nearly 11,000 popular and classical music CDs are available to check out. You'll find show tunes, movie soundtracks, music from around the world, holiday music, children's songs, and much more.
Downloadable and Streaming Audiobooks, eBooks, and Movies: Now your library never closes! The Redondo Beach Public Library participates in several digital entertainment programs and provides library card holders with movies, music, audiobooks and eBooks that can be streamed or downloaded to PCs, phones, and tablets.
