Donations

Want to donate books, audiobooks on CD, or DVDs to the Library?  Here are some guidelines.

Meeting Rooms

Conference_Rm_3When not reserved for departments of the City of Redondo Beach, the meeting room, conference room, and soundproof room on the Main Library’s second floor may be rented according to the Meeting Room Policy. There is also a meeting room at the North Branch Library for use by the public; it may be rented according to the North Branch Meeting Room Policy.

You can visit the Checkout Desk at either Library  location to get a copy of the Meeting Room Policy, fee schedule, and an application form.

The Library also has study rooms which are free to booked on a first come, first serve basis.

Kits

The Library circulates memory care kits for use with seniors suffering from memory loss.
Book club kits are available with a focus on Southern California.

Scanning, Copying and Printing

Patrons can scan documents to their USB stick, a phone or a tablet for free. If they need copies, they can scan to the printer ($.15 for black and white, $.60 for color). Copies can be made using one or five dollar bills or change. Soon (after February, 2022) patrons will be able to scan to the Cloud or to email.

Printing is available from the public PCs ($.15 for black and white, $.60 for color).  Print jobs can also be sent from anywhere in the world via wireless printing and picked up at the Library during open hours.

Security Engravers for Private Property

Courtesy of the Redondo Beach Police Department, hand-held engravers can be checked out for three weeks.  Label your tools, sporting goods, or household appliances for ready identification and return.  Inquire at the Checkout Desk.

State Park Passes

Study Rooms

Enclosed study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis during open hours. The Main Library has four rooms and the North Branch has two rooms. Rooms can be checked out at the Information Desks; a current California license (or other current picture  ID card) is required. The rooms can be reserved for two hours at a time, and a waiting list is available at each location. The rooms seat a maximum of four people. Please note the rooms are quiet but not soundproof.
